Doonya Dance & Fitness


 

Celebrate your body, mind, and one of the most festive cultures of the world through Doonya! At Doonya, you’ll follow along to cardio and conditioning intervals of varying intensity, each activating major muscle groups of the abs, arms and legs. The energy and expressions of Bollywood-inspired music and dance will keep you smiling as you burn up to 800 calories while learning dance and fitness fundamentals. 

 

By using your own resistance and muscle control, you’ll leave with a stronger core, lengthened limbs and increased stamina to keep you invigorated for the rest of your day. Doonya is your happy workout.  Doonya is an AAFA and ACE accredited program.

 

 


Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is a generic term and refers to a set of physical exercises (known as asanas or postures), and sequences of asanas designed to align your skin, muscles, and bones.  The postures are also designed to open the many channels of the body-especially the main channel, the spine-so that energy can flow freely.  You should end up leaving class feeling longer, looser, and more relaxed.
 
     

 

Hit It!® Kickboxing is a fusion of nightlife and Kickboxing/Boxing/Tae-Kwon-Do producing an explosive hour of fun. The workout with fast musical rhythms is designed for intense cardiovascular conditioning that aims to reshape the arms, legs, glutes and abdominal muscles and designed for all ages and fitness levels. This fast-paced class will have everyone punching, kicking and thumping to the latest hip-hop sets and hot dances mixes in a party-like atmosphere.

VINYASA YOGA

Vinyasa Yoga is connecting the movement of breath with physical postures (asanas). This coordination allows the students to remain within the present moment. Taught with alignment, breathe and modification cues, vinyasa class will be sure to help students increase muscle strength, endurance, flexibility and reduce levels of stress. 

 

 

Zumba® – When participants see a Zumba class in action, they can’t wait to give it a try. Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before participants know it, they’re getting fit and their energy levels are soaring! There’s no other fitness class like a Zumba Fitness-Party. It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating, often building a deep-rooted community among returning students.

 

 

Zumba® Toning Zumba® Toning  –  When it comes to body sculpting, Zumba Toning raises the bar (or rather, the toning stick). It combines targeted body-sculpting exercises and high-energy cardio work with Latin-infused Zumba moves to create a calorie-torching, strength-training dance fitness-party. Students learn how to use lightweight, maraca-like Toning Sticks to enhance rhythm and tone all their target zones, including arms, abs, glutes and thighs. TAI CHI/QIGONG 

 Literally "Life Energy Cultivation" is a practice of aligning movement, breath, and awareness for exercise, healing, and meditation. With roots in Chinese medicinephilosophy, and martial arts, Qigong is traditionally viewed as a practice to cultivate and balance qi (chi) or what has been translated as "life energy". Heal yourself through movement and standing meditation as we learn to dig deeper and balance our Chi.

ProFIT Club: Guest 1750 we are still revamping that class and will keep you in the loop with at least 1mo. advance notice of when it will begin.
ProFIT Club: Guest 4936: there is NO dancing involved in the class and YES we do to actual punches and kicks. It is a cardio kickboxing class you make it as intense as you need to.

ProFIT Club: We only have a few toning sticks in the studio and it is first come first serve. We do allow a chance to order some and if you're interested we will start and order and they are $25 and we'll put the word out and leave it open for 10 days

ProFIT Club: Hi Guest 3228 TBS we work out with dumb bells, stability, ball and we also get on the floor as well using out own body weight. We spend 2-3mins. on each muscle group doing a series of exercises to strengthen and tone those areas, we also do a 7-8min. cardio warm up.
