Zumba® – When participants see a Zumba class in action, they can’t wait to give it a try. Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before participants know it, they’re getting fit and their energy levels are soaring! There’s no other fitness class like a Zumba Fitness-Party. It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating, often building a deep-rooted community among returning students.

Vinyasa Flow - Like Hatha, Vinyasa is a general term that is used to describe many different types of classes. Vinyasa, which means breath-synchronized movement, tends to be a more vigorous style based on the performance of a series of poses called Sun Salutations, in which movement is matched to the breath. A Vinyasa class will typically start with a number of Sun Salutations to warm up the body for more intense stretching that's done at the end of class.

 

Kundalini -The emphasis in Kundalini is on the breath in conjunction with physical movement, with the purpose of freeing energy in the lower body and allowing it to move upwards. All asana practices make use of controlling the breath. But in Kundalini, the exploration of the effects of the breath (also called prana, meaning energy) on the postures is essential.

 

Ashtanga -Ashtanga, which means "eight limbs" in Sanskrit, is a fast-paced, intense style of yoga. A set series of poses is performed, always in the same order. Ashtanga practice is very physically demanding because of the constant movement from one pose to the next. In yoga terminology, this movement is called flow. Ashtanga is also the inspiration for what is often called Power Yoga. If a class is described as Power Yoga, it will be based on the flowing style of Ashtanga, but not necessarily keep strictly to the set Ashtanga series of poses.

Doonya is the ACE-approved, full body, cardio and strength building workout that helps you find your inner Bollywood star! Founders Priya Pandya and Kajal Desai created a program where you use sexy hip shaking, sensuous hand intricacies and powerful footwork of Indian dance that burns up to 800 calories! The workout with fast musical rhythms is designed for intense cardiovascular conditioning that aims to reshape the arms, legs, glutes and abdominal muscles and designed for all ages and fitness levels. This fast-paced class will have everyone punching, kicking and thumping to the latest hip-hop sets and hot dances mixes in a party-like atmosphere.

Finally Fit is a program specifically designed to teach you the tools needed to get fit and stay fit. The process is simple; we make you the best athlete you can be, and then your body does the job for you. Through strength, stability, cadrio, and conditioning drills, your body will transform into an athletic fat burning machine.

This class combines simple athletic drills in a unique and novel Group Fitness environment that will motivate you to finish hard and strong. Guest_2589: is it possible to add the yoga class on a nite that does not include the pilates? I would love to attend yoga 2 times each week then pilates on a separate evening instead of back to back on Wednesdays. :)

ProFIT Club: Guest 2034 it was supposed to have been last night, but the instructor had an emergency and was stuck in New Jersey. It will now be this Thursday night at 6:30 in place of my Kickboxing class and it will be FREE and 45mins. long.
Guest_2034: So confused - was the free class tonight or is it Thurs? Its listed in two different places with two different dates.
ProFIT Club: Guest 9273 we took away the class because of lack of interest at that time and more importantly the instructor decided to move to the Eastern Shore.
ProFIT Club: Guest2734 there are a few pairs of toning sticks available for use here at the studio and we also have regular hand weights as well. If you have them by all means you are welcomed to bring them.
Guest_9273: Has anyone tried the 7am Zumba class? I thought it was still going on for Aug but when I checked the schedule here prior to going earlier this week it wasn't there anymore - is that no longer available?

ProFIT Club: Guest 1750 we are still revamping that class and will keep you in the loop with at least 1mo. advance notice of when it will begin.
ProFIT Club: Guest 4936: there is NO dancing involved in the class and YES we do to actual punches and kicks. It is a cardio kickboxing class you make it as intense as you need to.
